Atlanta Braves News: Series win against Phillies, announcement of all teams, more

The Braves entered this weekend with a clear need to win a series against the Phillies.

And that’s exactly what they did.

More importantly, they hit during one of their best offensive stretches of the season. For only the second time this season, Atlanta has had three straight games with 5+ runs and 2+ home runs. And the result is a needed series win against the best team in the National League, including a clear win against one of the best pitchers in the National League, Ranger Suarez.

But the success must continue, because the Braves have some very important games in the next two weeks that could affect their playoff position. These include road games against Arizona and San Diego and then St. Louis right after the All-Star break. If the Braves can win the next 10 games and Philadelphia has a very tough schedule in July, Atlanta could really strengthen its playoff position as the season progresses.
