Assouline Chronicles “100 Moments of Olympic Legends” in a special edition

In the run-up to the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris this late summer, Assouline has written a comprehensive book to celebrate the greatest moments of this world-famous sporting event.

Titled The last heroes: 100 moments of Olympic legendsThe cover captures the “emotional and tense scenes that make the Games so gripping,” from Jesse Owens’ historic victories at the 1936 Berlin Games to Jim Redmond helping his injured son Derek cross the 400-meter finish line at the 1992 Barcelona Games.

The book includes fascinating photographs of each of the 100 moments featured, as well as contextual commentary by French journalists Olivier Margot (former editor-in-chief of The team And L’Equipe Magazine) and Étienne Bonamy (a prominent Olympic author and former editor-in-chief of The team). It is noteworthy that the printed edition also contains over 100 illustrations.

In addition, Assouline has a Ultimate Collection Edition of the book, which is limited to a print run of only 100 copies. The high-quality script features a gatefold cover adorned with a custom-designed medal from the first modern Olympic Games.

Assouline’s The last heroes: 100 moments of Olympic legends can now be pre-ordered from the brand’s webstore. The classic edition of the book costs 120 USD, while the Ultimate Collection The edition costs $3,950. Take a look in the gallery above.
