Travis Kelce caught the attention of Taylor Swift’s huge fan base on Saturday night when he was filmed wiping his eyes during the singer’s surprise performance
Taylor Swift fans are convinced that her performance at an Eras Tour stop in Amsterdam on Saturday moved the pop star’s NFL boyfriend Travis Kelce to tears.
The Kansas City Chiefs tight end made an intercontinental trip to Johan Cruyff Arena and was seen repeatedly wiping his eyes while Swift sang “Everything Has Changed” from her 2012 album “Red.”
“I will never be OK after this,” tweeted a video of Kelce’s alleged tears that has been viewed over 300,000 times. “Big tough NFL man Travis Kelce crying (because) his wife is singing to him.” Another Swiftie added, “Travis cried like a Kelce and I’m going to lose it.”

The viral clip came as part of a surprise tribute to Kelce, where she played a never-before-heard song on the Eras Tour. Swift sat down at the piano and began a rare niche selection from her world-famous discography: Mary’s Song (Oh My My My), from her 2006 eponymous debut album.
Crucially, that song contains the lyric “I’ll be 87, you’ll be 89,” reinterpreted 18 years later after her relationship with Kelce, who wears number 87 for the Chiefs and was born in 1989. “OK, so you get bonus points if you know the lyrics to that song,” Swift said Saturday. “Because it’s from my first album and I never performed it on the Eras Tour.”
Swift’s gesture became even more evident when the 14-time Grammy winner mixed “So High School,” a song from her recent “Tortured Poets Department,” with the aforementioned love song “Everything Has Changed.” She reciprocated her surprise with a sweet moment from Kelce at Wembley Stadium last month, who unexpectedly appeared on stage and performed in dance numbers for several of Swift’s songs.
Kelce was seated in a VIP suite at the Ajax Arena, along with teammate Patrick Mahomes and his wife Brittany from Kansas City. Other notable guests in the suite included Ross Travis and Patrick Bacon. The trio were recorded swaying and singing along to Swift’s 2019 single “Lover.”
Patrick and Brittany’s brief appearance on the continent came amid a packed sporting schedule in the United Kingdom. At the Wimbledon tennis tournament in London on July 5, the pair suffered a disappointing courtside result as fellow countryman Francis Tiafoe lost to Carlos Alcaraz in five sets in the third round.
On Sunday, Mahomes returned to the London area for the British Grand Prix, another disheartening performance as the two Alpine drivers – the quarterback is co-owner of the F1 racing club alongside Kelce and others – finished 16th and 20th.
With Kelce enjoying his NFL offseason and Swift’s Eras Tour back on track, the star receiver has taken advantage of these rare opportunities to witness his girlfriend’s historic performances.
Kelce will enjoy two more weeks of freedom before returning to the Chiefs’ mandatory training camp, which begins July 21 and runs daily through August 15. Swift, on the other hand, has completed the tenth stop of her European tour, ending her round on August 20 after a five-day finale in London.
