Charlotte Church celebrates comeback on “The Masked Singer”

According to reports, Charlotte Church is about to make a comeback on “The Masked Singer”.

The 37-year-old singer performed under the guise of “Mushroom,” came second in the 2022 season, and is now reportedly set to return to the ITV show and reprise her mushroom identity for the finale.

A TV insider told the Daily Star’s HotTV column: “Charlotte loved her time on ‘The Masked Singer’ and is delighted to have the chance to return as a special guest.”

“And since she will be singing, it will be a great pleasure for the audience as well.”

Other stars will reportedly also return to the show, including Kaiser Chiefs frontman Ricky Wilson and All Saints singer Natalie Appleton, who will return as Phoenix and Fawn respectively.

The source said: “The producers are so excited that they have convinced three big names to return.”

It was recently revealed that presenter Nicky Campbell was behind the identity of “Dippy Egg” when he was voted out of the show.

During an appearance on ‘Loose Women’, Nicky recalled his time on the show, saying: “Last year was pretty tough and I just thought, what a crazy, amazing thing to have a really good laugh.”

“The last year has brought a lot of good things – solidarity, meeting old friends and making new friends. I even made friends with the daughter of one of the abusers at our school… When I came on ‘The Masked Singer’ I thought, ‘You know what?’ Yes.”

“We laughed a lot. The girls had their friends visiting who didn’t know about it yet.

“Last Saturday night there was a huge uproar at our house. Two of our friends understood and laughed uncontrollably, but my daughter’s boyfriend had no idea it was me. When the moment came, it was a beautiful moment.”
