Is the arrival of veteran point guard Chris Paul to the San Antonio Spurs roster enough to propel them to the playoffs? Over the course of his career as a point god, Paul has significantly increased the winning percentage of every ballclub he has joined.
Of course, part of that can be attributed to the general direction of these franchises when CP3 joined them, but the veteran playmaker’s professionalism and calm demeanor also played a role. And depending on what you mean by “making the playoffs,” it could be entirely possible. We doubt the Spurs could make the full playoffs outright with a top-six seed in the West, but with Paul on the team, it seems very likely that they can make it through the play-in tournament.
For a baseball club that was one of the worst in the NBA’s regular season last season, that’s a HUGE leap forward, and the folks behind the YouTube channel TSR Sports laid out what they think of such a possibility in a recent episode of their show.
