Top recruitment target sets date and time of commitment

The Michigan Wolverines are expected to receive some good recruiting news on Monday, as four-star tight end Andrew Olesh indicated he will announce his decision tomorrow at 6 p.m. EST.

The final four for Olesh are Alabama, Florida, Penn State and Michigan — and it looks like the Wolverines have the edge when it comes to the nation’s No. 4 tight end. At 6’5″ and 215 pounds, Olesh has everything you want in a tight end. He finished his junior season with 53 catches for 972 yards and 10 TDs, and his athleticism at the position could make him an extremely dangerous target at the next level. He made three visits in June, including to Penn State, Florida and Michigan.

During his trip to Michigan, Olesh spent a lot of time with current UM tight end Colston Loveland – a guy who is being considered a first-round pick in the 2025 NFL Draft.

“Colston Loveland is my host and this is a big deal. He is being considered a first-round pick. I’m looking forward to reconnecting with everyone and getting back to campus,” Olesh said before his visit in June.

It’s clear that Michigan is making Olesh a priority, and that starts with head coach Sherrone Moore. According to the four-star prospect, Moore always checks in with the tight end and they’ve built a great relationship during the recruiting process. The strong relationship with Moore and the fact that Michigan currently has the best tight end in all of college football certainly gives the Wolverines a good chance of securing a commitment from the coveted prospect on Monday.
