Taylor Swift’s forgotten (and very bloody) TV cameo: Unknown singer lands “dream role” in dark crime drama

Taylor Swift is the biggest star on the planet thanks to her record-breaking The Eras Tour and chart-topping hits, but she has also proven herself to be an accomplished actress over the years.

The 34-year-old singer of the hit series “Bad Blood” made her acting debut in 2009 when she landed a “dream job” as the lead actress in her favorite series, “CSI: Crime Scene Investigation,” where she played a troubled teenager with a dark family history who becomes a murder victim.

The musician, then just 19 years old and fresh off the success of her second album “Fearless” – and being interrupted by Kanye West at the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards – played Haley Jones in the ninth season episode “Turn, Turn, Turn.”

The star, known for her fresh-faced look and signature blonde hair, debuted a shocking gothic transformation with raven-black locks, smoky eye makeup and facial piercings.

Further drama ensued when Haley was found stabbed to death in a parking lot – and Taylor played a bloody corpse in the autopsy room – in scenes that shocked her mother.

The episode began a year earlier, when Haley struck up a friendship with CSI Nick Stokes (George Eads) while he was investigating crimes at the motel where she lived.

In this tough role, Haley clashes with her mother Nicole (Lisa Darr) and transforms into a goth woman after being bullied online.

It turns out that Haley was accidentally stabbed by Nicole with scissors during an argument about her behavior and reaction to the death of her biological mother Tanya (Mim Carrow) from an overdose.

Nicole also killed Tanya after accidentally causing the death of Nicole’s young daughter years earlier – and giving her Haley as a result.

Taylor said of her mother Andrea’s reaction to the gory scenes: “My (own) mother was a little bit terrified. I was dead with my eyes open, literally having to stare into space and not being allowed to breathe during the close-ups… I didn’t flinch or anything.”

“I even met Jerry Bruckheimer and Cuba Gooding Jr.!

In an interview with MTV in 2009, she said, “All my friends know that my dream is to die on CSI. I’ve always wanted to be one of the characters that they try to figure out what happened to them.”

“The character Nick Stokes has to come to terms with his crime. That was really cool because he’s my favorite character.”

In 2013, Swift also made a surprise cameo appearance in the second season finale of New Girl.

The hitmaker, who had just released her fourth album “Red” and was on the verge of superstar status before the release of “1989,” demonstrated her acting skills in the cult show with Zooey Deschanel.

Taylor made a glamorous appearance at the wedding of Jess (Hannah Simone) and Shivrang (Satya Bhabha) – and caused chaos.

The beauty played a woman named Elaine who stood up in the middle of the wedding and loudly declared her love for her childhood friend Shivrang.

She said, “Oh, Shivvy! I have loved you since first grade. I am so lonely without you. I just lie awake at night and write about you in my diary and draw pictures of you on my easel.

“Will you get me out of this madness? You’re not too small for me, I don’t care what your mother says!”

The two then hug before Shivrang picks up Elaine and runs away with her.

“New Girl” has mentioned the star several times throughout its history and even used her song “22” in one scene.

Taylor said of her mother Andrea’s reaction to the gory scenes: “My (own) mother was a bit terrified. I was dead with my eyes open, literally had to stare into space and wasn’t allowed to breathe during the close-ups… no flinching or anything – pictured with Andrea and dad Scott in 2013

Taylor was also a fan of the cast and listed her favorite quotes when she met them.

“She quoted lines from the show to us. It was a really exciting evening,” Liz explained.

Swift is currently in the final months of her “The Eras Tour” and in a high-profile romance with NFL star Travis Kelce, 34.

Shortly after the Kansas City Chiefs star shared the stage with the pop icon at her Eras tour gig in London last month, a source revealed that the two lovebirds are “really, really happy together” just before their first anniversary.

“They are very serious about each other and the relationship feels different for both of them,” the insider told People.

The source close to the couple raved that they “have so much fun together.”

“Their friends find it funny because at first everyone was wondering what they had in common, but then you realize how similar they are,” the insider noted. “They both wear their hearts on their sleeves and put their all into everything they do, whether it’s their careers, their family or their friends.”

The couple are currently enjoying their time together as she continues the UK and European leg of her world tour before returning to Chiefs training camp on July 21.

“Football is definitely still a priority for him, but so is his relationship,” the source said. “He makes romantic gestures to show he’s thinking of her when they’re apart. She will try to attend as many games as possible.”

A second insider told the outlet that the football player “loved being on stage” and sharing the stage with the 14-time Grammy winner.

“He’s confident and funny, and it was one of their tour highlights,” the source added.

Last month, during an appearance on the “Bussin’ With the Boys” podcast, Kelce gushed that he “truly” fell in love with Swift when he saw “how genuine she is with friends and family.”

“So much attention can drive you crazy, but she remains so relaxed and cool. … She wants to be a part of it. She wants to support me,” he revealed.

The Chiefs tight end went on to say that while they wanted to “keep things private,” they weren’t hiding anything.

“That’s my girl, you know what I mean? That’s my wife, so it’s like… I’m proud of it,” he said. “I’m not sitting here trying to juggle, like, ‘How can I keep this a secret?’ You just don’t want to let everybody in on your private life and be able to comment on it when you know that everything she does is making headlines.”
