Hollyoaks legend announces she is ‘pregnant at 41’ with her famous husband

Former Hollyoaks star Carley Stenson has announced she is expecting her second child with her husband, actor Danny Mac. The actress, who joined the Channel 4 soap aged 17 as Steph Cunningham before embarking on her career in musical theatre in 2010, shared the happy news today.

Carley, 41, shared a picture showing the shadow of her stomach as she stood in the sun. She wrote: “We can’t wait to meet you.”

The star added the hashtags: “#springnewlife #ourbaby #bigsister #pregnantan41 #inourlittlebubble.” Carley already has daughter Skye with her husband, former Hollyoaks star Danny Mac (36).

The acting duo were flooded with congratulatory messages, with Lucy Jo Hudson sharing: “How did I not know? Ahhh congratulations baby xxx.”

Jessica Fox wrote: “Wonderful news!! Congratulations.” Hayley Tamaddon commented: “Ah, congratulations.”

The couple married in 2018 in an enchanting woodland setting in the New Forest. In addition to her role in Hollyoaks, Carley is also known for her portrayal of Harriet Shelton in the BBC soap opera Doctors.

Stenson left Hollyoaks in 2010 to focus on musical acting and has since played roles such as Elle Woods in Legally Blonde: The Musical and Fantine in Les Misérables. In 2023, she took part in the fifteenth series of Dancing on Ice. She was partnered with Mark Hanretty and they finished in sixth place.
