IDF troops operate in Khan Yunis, Shejaia and Rafah

An Israeli Air Force plane hit the community center of Khan Yunis in the Gaza Strip during a night operation, the military said on Sunday.

The attack was carried out based on intelligence information from the Shin Bet (Israeli domestic intelligence service) and the Southern Command.

The building contains, among other things, an operating shaft that is connected to an underground passage that serves as a meeting point for Hamas terrorists, according to the military.

Before the attack, the military took several steps to reduce potential harm to civilians, the IDF added.

The IDF also added that troops from the 162nd Division continued to fight in the Rafah area, killing over 30 terrorists in close combat and IAF attacks.

In Rafah, jets destroyed an operational rocket launcher.
