Taylor Swift sings “Mary’s Song” live again after 16 years – a clear reference to Travis Kelce in Amsterdam

Taylor Swift delighted her fans on Saturday, July 6, in Amsterdam by performing a long-awaited song during her sold-out Eras Tour concert. The 34-year-old pop star wowed the crowd with a mashup of “Mary’s Song,” “So High School,” and “Everything Has Changed” during the Secret Songs segment.

End the mashup, Fast sang the poignant final lyrics of 2006’s “Mary’s Song”: “I’ll be 87, you’ll be 89 / I’ll still be looking at you like the stars that shine / In the sky, oh my God, my God.”

Taylor Swift had to be rescued from a high platform after a stage mishap in Dublin

These lines have taken on a new meaning since Swift began a relationship with NFL star Travis Kelcewhose shirt number is 87, and Fastborn in 1989, has an album called 1989.

That was the first time Fast played “Mary’s Song” since 2008, and her beaming smile was complemented by the enthusiastic reaction of the crowd while Kelce was present, marking another special moment in their relationship.

In a playful allusion to Kelce‘s presence, Fast changed the Lyrics of “Karma” as a reference to “the guy from the Chiefs”, a gesture she saves for the moments when Kelce is in the audience.

Swift’s European tour

These shows in Amsterdam are part of Fasts first visit to the Netherlands since her 1989 world tour in 2015, after skipping the country during her 2018 Reputation Stadium Tour.

Her three performances in Amsterdam were followed by a weekend in Dublin, where she skilfully handled a minor stage disturbance and Kelce and actress Julia Roberts in the VIP tent.

FastHer next performances will be in Zurich, Switzerland, where she will play two consecutive nights. Later this summer, she will conclude the European leg of her tour with five shows in London.
