Unfortunately, victims often face significant physical, emotional and financial challenges as a result. After a car accident, injured parties have the option to file personal injury lawsuits against those responsible. A personal injury claim can provide important financial support for various hardships that victims endure after an accident or injury. These can include:

  • Property damage: compensation for the repair or replacement of damaged items.
  • Medical bills: Coverage of hospital stays, surgeries, medications and ongoing medical treatments.
  • Loss of companionship: Support in emotionally coping with the loss of the companionship and affection of a loved one.
  • Physical and emotional pain: Recognizing the suffering and distress caused by the injury, both physical and emotional.
  • Loss of income: Reimbursement of loss of wages due to incapacity to work during recovery.
  • Psychological distress: Acknowledgement of the psychological effects, such as anxiety and depression, that result from the traumatic experience.
