Travis Kelce says he doesn’t know how he ended up dating Taylor Swift: “She wasn’t interested in sports”

The Kansas City Chiefs star made the sweet comment about his pop star girlfriend during the latest episode of his podcast “New Heights”

Travis Kelce reflects on the beginnings of his relationship with Taylor Swift.

In the latest episode of his and his brother Jason Kelce’s podcast, he said: New heights with Jason and Travis Kelcepublished on April 10, Travis, 34, confessed that he is still not sure how he ended up dating the pop superstar, also 34.

After Jason, 36, told the brothers’ guest Lil Dicky that their podcast has “a lot of new fans called Swifties,” the rapper, also 36, asked the siblings how they feel about the extra attention that comes with the couple’s relationship.

While Jason admitted that “it hasn’t changed that much for me,” Travis further noted that “it’s fun” and “he’s having a blast in life, baby.”

“Just aim high and enjoy everything,” he continued. “Bring new life into the football world and open the football world to new things.”

The comedian then called the duo’s romance “the best thing ever,” adding, “I think there’s just something about making everyone feel like the world is like high school, where your favorite pop star, your favorite musician somehow met your favorite athlete and they actually fell in love and it’s just real. Anyone who hates that is a sore loser.”

“I appreciate that, man,” Travis replied, before admitting with a laugh, “I don’t know how I did it, because she had no taste in sports, so I don’t know how the hell I did it.”

Lil Dicky interjected, “Well, you did, because you confronted her about…”

“No, I know exactly how I did it,” Travis continued with another laugh.

Rumors of a relationship between the Kansas City Chiefs star and the “Karma” singer first emerged in September 2023 after the musician attended some of Kelce’s games.

At the performance on The Pat McAfee Show In a podcast that same month, Travis revealed that he invited Swift to one of his games and “threw the ball” to her after seeing her perform at Arrowhead Stadium during her Eras Tour in July 2023.

The couple then confirmed their romance in October 2023 when they were pictured holding hands at a Saturday Night Live After party in New York City.

Travis has since supported Swift on several dates of her world tour and was most recently in Singapore last month, where the star played six shows at Kallang Stadium.
