Pastor Vusi Chauke’s new gospel song offers hope.

GOSPEL singer Pastor Vusi Chauke believes there is always hope.

Despite all the difficulties, he shared Daily Sun that he is living proof of the power of God.

His latest song, Lisekhoni Thembawhich translates to “there is still hope,” reflects his experiences with divine intervention.

In 2022, Pastor Chauke composed the song while battling a severe case of Covid-19.

The following year he underwent surgery to remove stones from his stomach.

“I had to spend R40,000 for the operation at a private hospital. I am fine now and I am grateful to God for the healing,” he said.

The song is meant to inspire those who feel hopeless.

The 43-year-old musician, originally from Hammanskraal in Tshwane, sees his music as a means of preaching the gospel.

The pastor currently leads the Salvation in Church of Christ in Mhluzi, Mpumalanga and lives in Middleburg.

He said he finds inspiration in the legendary Dr. Derrick Ndzimande.

“People love my album and always tell me that it inspires them. My album has a healing effect. It makes people deal with challenges differently,” said Pastor Chauke.

He also mentioned the difficulties he faced before recording his album, including a serious illness and months of being bedridden.

“My advice, especially to the youth, is that they must concentrate on their studies and later pursue their passion for music,” he said.

Chauke is currently focusing on promoting upcoming gospel musicians at the upcoming Tropical Gospel Festival in November.
