Report: Kings complete sign-and-trade for six-time All-Star

The Sacramento Kings are not letting up this offseason and are letting everyone else around them improve without signing a new addition themselves.

According to Chris Haynes of Bleacher Report, the Kings are acquiring DeMar DeRozan in a three-team sign-and-trade deal, signing the soon-to-be 35-year-old to a three-year, $76 million contract.

The San Antonio Spurs and the Chicago Bulls are also involved in the trade.

As part of the deal, San Antonio receives Harrison Barnes and an unprotected 2031 pick swap from Sacramento.

The Bulls receive Chris Duarte, two second-round picks and cash.

DeRozan, for his part, will receive $59 million in guaranteed net income over the first two years of the contract and will have a partial guarantee.

DeRozan averaged 24.0 points, 4.3 rebounds and 5.3 assists per game for Chicago last season. He was an All-Star in the previous two seasons and should bring a lot of points to the Kings.

Sacramento finished 46-36 last season, finishing ninth in the West. They lost to the New Orleans Pelicans in a playoff game and officially failed to make the playoffs. They hope to improve their performance next season and believe DeRozan will help them do just that.
