No matter how many times we see it, the reaction of a celebrity child to being unmasked The Masked Singer puts a smile on our faces every time.

Over the weekend, McFly Musician Danielle Jones has been crowned the newest champion of the weird and wonderful ITV singing competition after performing under the guise of Piranha for the past eight weeks.

After Danny’s dramatic unmasking, he and his wife Georgia Horsley shared an adorable clip of his six-year-old son Alfie reacting to the moment – and it’s safe to say he definitely didn’t see it coming.

“To be honest, that was my reaction too,” joked Masked Singer host Joel Dommett, while Busted star (and fellow Masked Singer) Charlie Simpson added: “Yeah, mate! Congratulations!!”

In addition to Danny, the finale of “The Masked Singer” also saw runner-up Bigfoot revealed as Alex Brooker, the host of “The Last Leg,” while two-time Brit Award winner Lemar appeared as Cricket.

Other stars who took part in the latest season of The Masked Singer include music legend Dionne Warwick, daytime show regular Lorraine Kelly, Strictly Come Dancing judge Shirley Ballas and I Think We’re Alone Now singer Tiffany.

But Danny is far from the only star who surprised his children with the revelation of his “Masked Singer” role.

In the past, TV presenter Denise Van Outen, chart-topping singer Aston Merrygold and actress Martine McCutcheon have all posted similarly adorable clips on social media – although the comedian Katharina R. tried, she didn’t quite get the reaction she had hoped for.

Similar, Roman Kemp caused a huge reaction when he learned that his parents Martin and Shirley had been the first duo on the show to take part in The Masked Singer.
