Google is yet to announce the upcoming Pixel 9 series with a new speculated design and improved features. This year, Google is ahead of schedule as the Pixel 9 series is expected to be unveiled at the upcoming Made by Google event on August 13. Moreover, rumors suggest that the Pixel 9 series will include four models: Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro, Pixel 9 Pro XL, and Pixel 9 Pro Fold. With leaks about the devices circulating quickly, we may have an idea of ​​what will be announced at the August event. Until then, here’s what to expect with the Pixel 9 series.

Design, display and camera of the Google Pixel 9 series

As mentioned earlier, the Pixel 9 series will include four models, all with different but similar designs and specifications. In the new devices, Google is expected to introduce several design changes with new camera modules and larger display sizes. The standard Pixel 9 model is expected to come with a 6.03-inch display, but the display sizes of the Pro model could be 6.1 and 6.7 inches respectively. In addition, the back of the smartphone is expected to feature a horizontal camera bar with rounded edges. Moreover, it will also feature an Adaptive Touch feature.

As for photography, while there are few rumors about the camera specs, the standard Pixel 9 is believed to include a triple camera setup instead of a dual camera sensor like the Pixel 8 models. The third camera sensor is reported to be a telephoto camera.

Processor, software and battery of the Google Pixel 9 series

All upcoming Pixel 9 series models are expected to come with the Tensor G4 chipset. The chipset is said to be more powerful than last year’s Tensor G3 chipset and could include improved processing for new Galaxy AI features (if any). Additionally, the new chipset could offer users improved speed and on-device AI capabilities.
