The Marvel film universe‘s Original avenger have come together again for a new project – to record a Lakota dubbing of their 2012 film The Avengers.

Marvel announced the project in a video on Friday (July 5) and provided behind-the-scenes insights into the cast, including Mark Ruffalo, Robert Downey Jr., Scarlett Johansson And Chris Evansin the studio.

To markwho helped organize the project, explained how it all came about.

“This project arose from my relationship with the Lakota people,” To mark explained in the video.

He continued: “The hardest part is probably getting everyone on the same page, but everyone was on board.”

To mark added that the project was inspired by attempts to revive the Lakota language, which was nearly lost after people were banned from speaking it.

The project took more than 15 months, and according to Marvel, they brought in 62 native speakers to complete the cast of supporting characters.

Chris Hemsworth And Jeremy Renner were not shown in the video. However, it was implied that all six original Avengers worked together on the dubbing.
