Emma Roberts blames the Internet for the failure of “Madame Web”

This is hilarious as Emma Roberts blames the Internet for Sony’s failure Madame Web The film is one of the worst superhero films of all time, grossing only $100 million at the box office.

Ironically, while Roberts blames the fans and the internet, it is known that only the hardcore fanboys have seen the film – no girls, families or women (the same happened with The wonders). Fans can’t change the script, right?

Madame Web Review, Sony Marvel

Here is the full quote:

Things work, things don’t work. Everyone likes to pretend like they can predict whether they’re going to work or not. And the truth is, you can’t. Things go bad and then they blow up on TikTok later. Things go well but then you look at them and think, “That went well?” There’s no secret. It’s about doing something pretty good and hitting it at the right time. Everything else is like a wish and a prayer. I’m not intimidated by failures, and I’m not intimidated by people who think negatively about something. Personally, I really loved Madame Web. I really enjoyed the movie. I thought all the actors were great. The director, SJ Clarkson, I think did a great job. She’s the reason I wanted to make this movie. If it wasn’t for internet culture and ridiculing everything, I think the reception would have been different. And that’s what annoys me about a lot of things, even things I’ve done: people make such a joke out of everything these days.
