Death end re;Quest: Code Z will be released in the West in 2025

Idea Factory International announced that the latest title in the Compile Heart series Death End re;Quest Series, Death End re;Quest: Code Zwill be released in North America and Europe in 2025. The game will be released physically and digitally for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch, including a limited edition to be announced at a later date. The Japanese release is scheduled for this September.

Death End re;Quest: Code Z offers different gameplay than its predecessors, utilizing turn-based rogue-like combat and exploration with various terrains, enemies, traps, and more. The game features a multi-world setting and revolves around the being Iris. Iris was born in “DE-1 World,” which resembles Earth in the 2000s. After that world spiraled into a tragic spiral, Iris created a replica called “DE-1.5 World” and made it more idyllic. However, a new threat emerges, with new protagonist Sayaka Hiwatari facing chaos between friends and enemies. It will feature a mix of returning and new characters, with the story following on from previous titles and set to feature significantly more gruesome events and character death scenes than previous titles.
