Tickets for the Gran Turismo World Series in Prague are now on sale – GTPlanet

Racing action is still underway at the first Gran Turismo World Series live event in 2024, but tickets for the second event are already on sale.

It is the second event in just over a month and will be held in a completely new location for the second time this year, as Gran Turismo breaks new ground in Prague, Czech Republic – the scene of the Skoda Vision GT unveiling earlier this year.

Once again, we’ll see the racing action compressed into a single day, or rather, just one evening, Saturday, August 10. As with the Montreal event, the finals of the Manufacturers Cup and the Nations Cup are each allocated 90 minutes, with the former starting at 5:00 p.m. local time (15:00 UTC) and the latter at 9:30 p.m. (19:30 UTC).

There is also a spectacular venue for the championship: a 360-year-old building that was once a church until it was deconsecrated and converted into a theater. Officially called Divadlo Hybernia (“Hibernia Theater”), it is a tribute to the Irish Franciscan monks who built it on the site of an even older Benedictine monastery.

Renovated in 2006, the theater has a huge seating area that can accommodate around 850 spectators, 80 of whom are in the balconies and VIP boxes. Since it is a theater, the stage area should be enough for the 12 chassis, which according to PD will already be equipped with an upgrade to the new Gran Turismo DD Extreme steering wheel from series partner Fanatec.

As usual, two ticket categories are available. The Gold Ticket is a day pass that lets you watch both series from “pre-assigned optimal seating” (probably not the VIP boxes!) and includes an exclusive event t-shirt. They’re on sale now and cost 949 Czech crowns (Kč) – the country hasn’t adopted the euro yet – or around $41/€38.

You can also buy individual tickets for the Manufacturers Cup or Nations Cup, which cost 349 Kč ($15/€14). These will be available from Friday 12 July, and given how quickly the Montreal tickets sold out – even for the larger Prague venue – you should make your decision on whether to go or not pretty quickly.

Whichever ticket you choose, you can purchase it on the special event page on the Gran Turismo website.
