“I should have watched Tom Hardy’s film first”: Chris Evans talks about bedtime stories | Television

The Captain America actor is the latest star to read a story on CBeebies!

Chris Evans was surprised by the public reaction to “Bedtime Stories”.

Captain America himself sits on a sofa, surrounded by teddy bears, reading “Even Superheroes Have Bad Days.”

He is the latest in a long list of actors and celebrities who have read fairy tales to little ones to help them fall asleep, but perhaps the most famous before him was Tom Hardy.

In the last few months, Tom has read three stories, and each one has generated a buzz on social media. It goes without saying that Tom’s videos are popular with a much wider audience than just children and their parents.

When Chris came in to chat with us, he told us that he had absolutely no idea how popular the show was and now he wished he had seen Tom’s show beforehand!

Here’s a preview of Chris’ Bedtime Story! The full version airs on CBeebies on Wednesday 10 May at 6.50pm.

Chris was in the UK to promote his new film ‘Gifted’, which hits cinemas on June 16th.

In the film, he plays the uncle and guardian of a seven-year-old girl with a remarkable gift for math. While others want to push her to become a child prodigy, Chris’ character Frank just wants her to have a normal childhood, which leads to a custody battle.
