The final of My Hero Academia may indicate a major change in the way the Hero Society treats the non-Quirky population. Evidence of these changes can be found in the epilogue of Falcons. The former number 2 hero seems to have gained one of the most important government positions, despite losing his quirk in the fight against All For One.

Before the Final War arc of My Hero AcademiaThe world of the series was full of discrimination and inequality. One of the populations most at risk from these problems was the Quirkless community. People born without a certain ability were severely mistreated and viewed as weaker and less valuable.

My Hero Academia confirms that a great hero survived the last war

My Hero Academia has seen a surprising hero emerge unscathed from the final war against All For One, and fans couldn’t be more relieved.

Hawks’ role as hero and president of the Public Safety Commission is evidence of positive change

In the past, no individual without flaws would have held this position

In Chapter 385 of the My Hero Academia In the manga, Hawks is depicted fighting All For One. Since the villain had regained his youth thanks to a modified Quirk Erasing Bullet, the former Number 2 had no chance. As a result of their fight, Hawks was left without a Quirk. turn him into a normal person. His powers disappeared along with All For One’s cloned body, meaning Keigo would never regain them. Hawks became one of the many heroes who lost their powers during the final battle against the Symbol of Evil.

Weeks after the battle, Hawks appeared again in Chapter 426, revealing that he was appointed as the new president of the Hero Public Safety Commission. This job is considered one of the most important in Japan, as the head of the organization has nearly unlimited power to dictate the laws that the heroes are subject to. At the beginning of the series, an individual without special powers would never have been allowed to hold such an important position. The fact that Hawks was offered the job despite losing his powers shows that views on people without special powers are already changing.

Since many brave individuals have lost their quirks in the fight against All For One, it is likely that Society in general is increasingly accepting them. Deku, who most people believe is responsible for defeating the Symbol of Evil, was born without a Quirk, which must have played a big role in this change as well. The Hero Society has become aware that a Quirk does not determine a person’s worth, and is finally giving people without special abilities the respect they deserve. Now that Hawks is part of the Quirkless community, these changes will most likely continue.

Discrimination against heteromorphic and “malignant” characteristics must also be addressed

The war also raised concerns about the treatment of these communities

Shoji talks to other heteromorphs about the discrimination they have experienced.

While individuals without Quirks have suffered the most from discrimination in the series, people with heteromorphic abilities or powers that terrify others have also been hurt. Characters like Shoji and Koda fought bravely in chapters 369 to 374 in hopes of helping those who have suffered like them. While fighting discrimination against individuals without Quirks must be a priority for Hawks, the new president of the Hero Public Safety Commission should also help other marginalized communities. It was this type of discrimination that led to the creation of the Paranormal Liberation Front.

Public opinion about individuals with heteromorphic and “evil” quirks has also already changed. Civilians and heroes alike witnessed the battle that took place at Tokyo Central Hospital. They know what happened to the heteromorphic individuals who rose up against the hero society and joined All For One. In chapter 425, Kohei Horikoshi, the creator of the series, revealed that society is cautious about allowing the creation of another villain like the Symbol of Evil. If the discrimination against these communities continues, it would undoubtedly lead to the birth of another supervillain.

Fortunately, Hawks is one of the heroes most aware of these problems, and he will do his best to change his predecessor’s system. During his time as a Pro Hero, Keigo experienced firsthand the many problems affecting Japan. While his popularity may have played a role in his appointment as head of the Security Commission, he was likely chosen because of his knowledge and willingness to help.

One way or another, the Hero Society must change to prevent another All For One from being created. The world of My Hero Academia may have already changed for the better, and Falcons will be a great leader of this new era. Although Keigo is quirkless, he could become a hero to millions of people as the new president of the Security Commission.

My Hero Academia (2016)

In My Hero Academia, some people have superpowers called Quirks. Izuku Midoriya, nicknamed Deku, is not one of them. Deku has always idolized heroes like the number one hero, All Might, and has wanted to be a hero since he was a child. Not having a Quirk has always held him back, however, but a chance encounter with All Might after spotting a classmate in danger sets Deku on the path to becoming a true hero. My Hero Academia centers on Deku and a class of heroes in training at UA. This school molds young Quirk users into future heroes through fake rescue missions, combat training, and other hero-education tasks. As young Deku inherits the “One for All” Quirk, he will learn what it means to be a true hero while fighting back against dastardly supervillains.
