Chris Davies has passed on his Birmingham City message to Paik Seung-ho amid transfer rumours

Birmingham City midfielder Paik Seung-ho is the subject of interest from Championship side Blackburn Rovers and their former manager John Eustace. Paik only arrived under Tony Mowbray in January but made a very positive impression in midfield early on – particularly when Mowbray began to tune the team before his diagnosis.

Paik scored the only goal in a 1-0 win over Norwich City on the final day of the season, which unfortunately wasn’t enough to keep the Blues in the Championship. Now his future, along with that of Krystian Bielik and Jordan James, is likely to be in the spotlight as clubs from other countries consider moves. One of those clubs, according to the Sun, is Blackburn.

Eustace’s Rovers were among the teams battling to avoid relegation on the final day of the season, alongside Blues, Plymouth Argyle and Sheffield Wednesday. However, they beat champions Leicester City to avoid relegation at Blues’ expense. New head coach Chris Davies’ message to any Blues players considering their options following relegation is simple.

“I’ve had a few conversations, but there will be more in the next few weeks when the players come back,” he said BirminghamLive this week when asked about the future of Paik and Bielik, among others. “My message to the players around is that I symbolise exactly that. I am someone who could well be a manager in the Championship now, maybe even higher, who knows, but I have chosen to come to a club that will go far.”

“My aim is to make them understand the vision, the project and our goals, so that they see that although we are in League One, we are going somewhere and that they want to be part of it. That is exactly the message I will convey to the players who may be thinking about where they are now and where they want to go.”
