Kevin Bacon learns that being famous doesn’t suck

With the whole “six degrees” thing, pretty much everyone recognizes – or is actually connected to – Kevin Baconso he decided to change that with a little social experiment, he says Vanity Fair.

The results of the experiment were pretty clear: being famous is cool.

“I’m not complaining, but I have a face that is pretty recognizable,” said the Unbound Icon told the magazine.

“Putting on my hat and glasses only works to a certain extent,” he added. He said he underwent a glow-down, in which a makeup expert altered his appearance with a fake nose, glasses and false teeth, before turning up incognito at The Grove open-air shopping mall in Los Angeles.

“Nobody recognized me. People just kind of pushed past me and weren’t nice. Nobody said, ‘I love you,'” Bacon recalled.

“I had to stand in line to buy, I don’t know, fucking coffee or whatever. I was like, ‘This sucks. I want to be famous again,'” he lamented.

Speaking of the recently released Netflix film Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F and the new horror film MaXXXineBacon said: “I’m honestly very grateful for where I am now. Having two completely different films and completely different roles coming out within a couple of days. The fact that I got both is what I’m most grateful for. I fought really long and hard for this.”
