The rumors about Jason Momoa Lobo are coming up again, this time for the upcoming James Gunn DCU Supergirl Film with Milly Alcock.

With the end of the DCEU and his Aquaman role over, Jason Momoa has hinted that he’s not quite done with DC. More than once, the actor has hinted that he will have meetings with WB and Gunn, seemingly alluding to his dream role as Lobo.

In the comics, Lobo is an alien bounty hunter who is acquainted with both Supergirl and Superman. In the DCU, David Corenswet plays Supergirl’s cousin Kal-El aka Superman aka Clark Kent.

Momoa has again said he wants to play Lobo and hinted that he wants to continue with Gunn in the DCU. It’s obviously not Aquaman, so Lobo seems likely.

Supergirl: The Woman of Tomorrow The film, starring Milly Alcock, is the second film in the DCU program and will be released in theaters on June 26, 2026.

The film follows the release of James Gunn’s new Superman Film starring David Corenswet, currently in production. Rumor has it that the film will also feature Milly Alcock’s first appearance as Supergirl before she goes on to make her own film.

As Gunn confirmed, Craig Gillespie will direct the film, with Ana Nogueira writing the screenplay.

It was previously reported that the Mille Alcock Supergirl will be an edgier version, as it is said that James Gunn wants to move away from the current version played by Melissa Benoist on The CW. It is also said that Krypto, the superdog, will appear in the flick.

“In the new version, Supergirl travels across the galaxy to celebrate her 21st birthday with Krypto, the superdog. Along the way, she meets a young woman named Ruthye and embarks on a murderous quest for revenge,” reads an earlier description of diversity.

Gunn also previously commented on the casting of Alcock on social media: “Milly was the FIRST person I suggested to Peter for this role, just over a year ago when I had just read the comics. I looked at ‘House of the Dragon’ and thought she could have the edge, grace and authenticity we needed.”
