Natanya longs for lost love in her new song “Boombox”: Stream

Up-and-coming singer Natanya wants to rekindle an old flame with her new single “Boombox”.

In “Boombox,” a co-production between Natanya and Jkarri, the northwest Londoner sings: “Baby, I’m sick of forwarding all my many calls to your phone / But it would haunt me even more if I didn’t let you know / That we were everything I dreamed of.”

Natanya tells Rated R&B about her new single: “In old romantic comedies, people would hold boom boxes to windows to get back at someone. I feel like this is my boom box song.”

“Boombox” is accompanied by a music video directed by Claryn Chong, which can be viewed below.

“Boombox” is Natanya’s first musical release since her 2023 debut EP. Mourning at sunrise. The project included their popular tracks “Raining Tomorrow” and “Angel”.

In June, Natanya supported Destin Conrad on the European leg of his Submissive tour. “There has been no experience on this trip that could compare to this,” Natanya wrote in an Instagram post.

“I did most of these demos in my room and just a week or two before my uni exams I learned so much about strength and resilience – how to really put in the work, how to give it your all every night no matter what. There are very few moments where you sit there and think, oh, I really want to do this, and this was one of those moments.”
