The horror of Love Island: Two stars are shocked and thrown out of their villa

Two Love Island favourites have reportedly been evicted in a surprise double drone drop that has caused uproar in the villa.

The hit ITV2 reality series about romantic moments has thrown a bombshell: two contestants were sent home, leaving their fellow islanders stunned.

The unexpected twist on Friday evening plunged the villa into chaos after the dramatic elimination.

While the show’s producers are keeping the identities of the departed stars top secret, it is confirmed that they have said goodbye to the villa.

A source has revealed all to us and revealed: “Two islanders were evicted from the villa last night in an elimination of epic proportions that the couples were not expecting.”

“It has already sent shockwaves through the estate in Mallorca as the islanders were not expecting it.”

“With no new episode until Sunday night, behind-the-scenes producers are desperately trying to keep the identities of the two stars secret until the dramatic episode airs.”

Fans can look forward to seeing the eliminated duo on Love Island Aftersun, where they will join Maya Jama straight after the main show airs.

In addition, Love Island’s highly anticipated movie night is set to take place a week earlier than usual as the show experiences a surge in viewership.

The show attracts viewers: a total of 3.4 million viewers switched off from politics and sports to indulge in the show’s latest drama.

Voice-over king Iain Stirling announced the exciting news at the end of the show on Friday (July 5), sending fans into a frenzy as they flocked to social media to express their joy.

On X, formerly known as Twitter, one eager viewer wrote: “Movie night is here again, oh my god I can’t wait for these sleazy men to be exposed.”

Another chimed in: “No matter what it is, Nicole will 10,000% cry at movie night this Sunday.”

This iconic movie night traditionally reveals how the islanders’ partners behaved during the infamous Casa Amor twist and usually follows several episodes later.

But this time, the showrunners have decided to mix things up by introducing the challenge earlier. It’s now called the Love Island Film Festival and aims to captivate the 3.4 million viewers who are hooked on the show.

Remember in 2021, when the segment sparked a row so heated that it became Ofcom’s most complained about moment of the year? Who could forget Faye Winter’s explosive reaction to Teddy Soares over a misleading clip, despite Teddy having proven his loyalty?

In the latest episode, voiceover maestro Iain couldn’t resist taking a cheeky dig at Rishi Sunak following Labour’s victory over the Conservatives, as Rishi Sunak and his party suffered a crushing defeat at the ballot box.

He joked: “Everyone woke up thinking about last night. Important decisions were made. Hearts were broken and someone cried out in tears at the end: ‘Why?’ But enough about Rishi Sunak.”

Love Island continues weekdays from 9pm on ITV2
