Dungeons & Dragons sequel receives exciting update from Chris Pine

Chris Pine has offered an exciting update for a sequel to Dungeons & Dragons: Honour Among Thieves.

The adaptation of the board game received positive reviews, but the slightly disappointing box office results call into question the prospect of a sequel.

There is good news, however, as lead actor Pine offers a promising update on the sequel, telling GamesRadar+: “I’ve heard some rumors about it, but I don’t know anything yet. I’m pretty confident it could happen. (I would) definitely (return).”

The first film follows Edgin Darvis (Pine) and his ragtag band of misfits as they attempt to rescue his daughter from the clutches of Forge Fitzwilliam (Hugh Grant). The supporting cast includes Michelle Rodriguez, Sophia Lillis and Justice Smith.

Smith, who played the magician Simon Aumar, previously spoke exclusively with Digital Spy about his role and revealed that he worked tirelessly with the crew to develop the character’s movements.

“They had assigned me a choreographer and she had a lot of really great ideas. We just worked together to figure out what the spells would look like,” he said.

“I feel like if magic existed, it would be a kind of language. I wanted to anchor it in something real. I knew I didn’t want to just carry on like that (extends right hand). Whenever I see that in movies, I think, ‘That’s lazy.'”
