“Kite” man flies to SDCC with exclusive Funko Pop before series premiere

HarleyQuinn has been one of the funniest shows on television since its debut in 2019. The adult animated take on the DC Universe celebrates and pokes fun at the popular comic book universe in equal measure over the course of its first four seasons. While popular DC heroes like Batman and Superman have starred alongside their biggest villains like Poison Ivy and Lex Luther, there have also been great storylines for lesser-known characters. This includes the villainous Kite Man, who is getting his own spin-off series soon. Kite Man: Of course!later this month on Max. Now, ahead of his high-flying series, Kite-Man is getting a new Funko Pop.


The San Diego Comic Con 2024 Previews Exclusive figure is based on the villain’s appearance in HarleyQuinn. Kite Man flies in his preferred vehicle, a kite, and wears his green and yellow uniform topped with pink goggles. The figure is also supported by a clear base to mimic the figure’s flight pattern. Beyond that, however, this is Pop comes complete with comic text bubbles. This is something that only a few figures in Funko’s lineup have. Kite Man says his name before screaming a family-friendly, censored version of “Hell Yeah!” Of course, that happens to be the title of his spin-off.


What is “Kite Man: Hell Yeah!” about?


The main plot of Kite Man in HarleyQuinn was Poison Ivy’s ex-boyfriend. The two villains even wanted to get married at the end of the second season. However, when Harley crashed their wedding and confessed her love to Ivy, their romance was over. It took a while for Kite Man to get back on his feet, but eventually start dating another DC Deepcut, Golden GliderThis is where we start Kite Man: Of course!. The couple opens a villain-themed bar, Noonan’s Bar, right outside the Legion of Doom headquarters. Kite Man wants to be taken seriously in the DCU and this bar is the first step to proving his villainous worth. Other Harley Quinn villains like Bane and Lex Luther will also appear in the spin-off.

Kite Man: Of course! will debut on Max on Thursday, July 18, 2024The first season will consist of ten episodes. While DC fans are waiting for the HarleyQuinn universe, you can pre-order your Kite Man Funko Pop on Entertainment Earth’s website for $24.99 and check out a preview above. The figure is expected to ship next month.
