ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, MI – The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) will repave more than 20 miles of three highways beginning Tuesday, July 9.

The $2.5 million investment includes chip seal, fog seal and micro-surfacing and will improve safety and ride quality and extend the life of the road, MDOT said.

The work covers the following areas:

  • US 131 from Dickinson Road in Constantine to Garber Road in White Pigeon
  • M-60 from Hoffman Road in Three Rivers to Plainfield Drive in Mendon
  • M-86 from South Main Street in Three Rivers to West Main Street in Centreville

The expected end of construction work is Tuesday, September 17th.

During construction, lane closures will be held and warning signals will be displayed to alert drivers. The work is expected to create 30 jobs, MDOT said.
