The voice actors of “The First Descendant” – you look familiar, were you in “The Witcher”?

It’s always fun to find out where video game voice actors have plied their trade before. Often you’ll hear a voice you think you know from somewhere else, but there’s one in The First Descendant that might sound very familiar, and you’d be right to believe that if you’ve played one of the best games of the last decade – The Witcher.

The character Ajax is played by none other than Doug Cockle, who voiced Geralt but also appeared in last year’s Game of the Year, Baldur’s Gate 3.

Indeed, the premier class of video game voices.

But that’s not all. Tracey Wilde, who plays Guide, also appeared in BG3 as well as Diablo IV and a number of TV shows and films.

There’s plenty more to discover, but here’s the cast of the game everyone is playing at the moment. Also of note is the excellent Bryony Corrigan, who in addition to appearing in BG3 was also one of the stars of one of my favorite TV shows of recent years, the incredibly funny “The Gone Wrong Show.”
