Suspect charged in connection with death of teenager whose remains were found in Hendersonville, Tennessee

HENDERSONVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – Hendersonville police have arrested a 17-year-old in connection with the death of a missing girl whose remains were found in Hendersonville earlier this week.

Troopers, a contractor for the Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT), were picking up roadside trash on Wednesday, July 3, when they discovered the remains in a small strip of woodland near State Route 386 (Vietnam Veterans Boulevard) at New Shackle Island Road.


The remains were identified on Friday, July 5, as those of 17-year-old Trinity Bostic. Authorities said she was reported missing in Macon County on Saturday, June 29.

A week after her disappearance, officials announced they had made an arrest in the case. On Saturday, July 6, Hendersonville police arrested a 17-year-old from Westmoreland for the murder of Trinity Bostic.

Police said the 17-year-old – whose identity has not been released – is being held in the Sumner County Jail on a charge of first-degree murder.
