Nikhil Nagesh Bhat’s action thriller Kill hit the screens yesterday and has already collected over Rs 1.35 crore on its first day; a strong start for a genre film with a new face in the lead role. Much before its release, the film and its lead star Lakshya were already receiving overwhelming praise from critics and audiences. Lakshya’s first step into the film industry was a wild one and one of the bloodiest films Bollywood has ever produced.

“Sometimes the best thing you can say about an actor is that he can really act. There is a particular scene towards the end of the film where Lakshya’s character goes through a chaos of emotions in a matter of seconds. It makes you realise why Karan Johar last felt so strongly about a debutant when he cast Alia Bhatt in Student of the Year,“ we noted in our review of the film.
