Giants Software shows detailed rice farming action in Farming Simulator 25 preview – Destructoid

As eager fans gather for FarmCon 2024, developer Giants Software has previewed one of the biggest new features of the upcoming Farming Simulator 25 Rice farming. The whole system looks complex and satisfying, as only a game in this series can achieve.

The nearly 30-minute preview video shows more than just rice farming. It goes into detail about how the game’s engine has been improved since then. Farming Simulator 22 to provide an unprecedented simulation experience with more realistic weather patterns, shadows, wheat, water, and tracks. Not every fan can make it to FarmCon, but this video allows anyone looking forward to the next entry to see these changes.

Watch your rice planter work like a typewriter

Once the rice is fully grown, it can be harvested using a traditional harvester similar to the combines you would use on a wheat field. The preview shows a few of these, each one harvesting rice in a different way.

I didn’t expect so much detail between the types of rice, but I’m looking forward to finding out which one is the most profitable once you’ve grown it all, harvested it with your machines, and sold it.
