Kevin Bacona well-known name since his breakthrough in “The Unboundrecently decided to find out what the life of the average person is like.

In a new interview with Vanity FairBacon recounts his experiences trying to blend in with the crowd for a day.

“I went to a special effects makeup artist, got a consultation and asked him to make me a prosthetic costume,” reveals Bacon. The 65-year-old actor felt the need for such measures because of his frequent public recognition.

“I’m not complaining, but I have a face that is easily recognizable. Putting on a hat and glasses only works to a certain extent,” he explains.

Equipped with a fake nose, false teeth and glasses, Bacon ventured into the tourist-filled shopping mall The Grove in Los Angeles. The transformation was so effective that he went completely unnoticed. “Nobody recognized me. People were kind of pushing past me and not being nice. Nobody said ‘I love you,'” Bacon jokes. “I had to wait in line to buy, I don’t know, a damn coffee or whatever. I was like, ‘This sucks. I want to be famous again.'”

Fame is nothing new for Bacon’s family. His father, Edmund Bacon, was a famous town planner who designed the cover of Time Magazine. When asked if his father’s fame influenced his own career choice, Bacon replied, “One hundred percent.”

“As for the credit to my parents, of course all the credit goes to them. My mother was very artistic and encouraged acting a lot,” he adds. “They both encouraged as much creativity as possible in all areas – dance, music, theater, painting, sculpture, whatever.”

Another advantage of being famous is bacon received an unexpected gift from Beyonce after he and his daughter covered one of their new songs.

At the recent premiere of Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F In Beverly Hills, Bacon shared the exciting news. “The really cool thing is I actually got a T-shirt from Beyoncé,” Bacon told ET. “Apparently it was from her, I don’t know what to say.”

The actor and his and Kyra Sedgwick’s 32-year-old daughter Sosie enthusiastic fans in April with a joint Instagram reel with their interpretation of the duet “II Most Wanted” by Beyoncé and Miley Cyrus from Beyoncé’s album. Cowboy CarterThe father-daughter duo added their personal touch by reworking the lyrics to reflect their relationship.

In the video, Bacon plays guitar while Sosie sits closer to the camera and sings.

Bacon shares his musical side on Instagram, often covering popular songs with his own twist. When asked about his approach to these covers, he told ET, “Well, listen, what that means is I just try to simplify everything, whatever it is.”

The actor expressed his admiration for Beyoncé’s latest work, explaining: “I love the record so much.” His Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F Co-Star, Joseph Gordon-Levitt intervenedand confirmed that they discussed Cowboy Carter and added: “It’s brilliant, really.”

This is not the first time Bacon has revealed that he is a fan of Beyoncé. In August 2022The actor covered Bey’s song “Heated” from her hit album on Instagram. Renaissance.

On a personal note, Bacon also spoke to ET about his upcoming 35th wedding anniversary with Sedgwick. When asked about the secret to their long-standing marriage, he modestly replied, “No secret. I really don’t know the secret.”

Bacon then drew a parallel to his musical aspirations, saying, “Honestly, I mean, this is a return to music. People ask me a lot, it’s hard work, you really have to put in the work, and I’ve heard that before, and for me it’s less about the work and more about the play, you have to play.”
