Chelsea are delighted to confirm the signing of Sandy Baltimore; the French striker joins the Blues from Paris Saint-Germain.

The 24-year-old has signed a four-year contract with the club after playing for PSG in her home country for the past nine years, making over 200 appearances throughout her career so far.

On the pitch, Baltimore can play a variety of roles in attacking midfield and is comfortable on either wing. She is a dynamic player with a natural left foot and excellent technical ability.

Commenting on his move from Paris to London, Baltimore said: “I’m delighted to be joining Chelsea. It’s an incredible feeling. I’ve always wanted to play for Chelsea and now it’s happened!”

General Manager Paul Green commented: “We are delighted to bring Sandy to Chelsea. She is an exciting wide player who will add balance to the team and adds another natural left-footed player.”

“Sandy has gained a lot of experience in France, including in the UEFA Women’s Champions League, and will bring more competition to the team. We look forward to seeing her in the blue shirt of Chelsea.”

Baltimore made her debut for PSG in the 2016/17 season and despite her young age, she has an incredible amount of experience: a French league title, three French Cup wins and 43 UEFA Women’s Champions League appearances make for an impressive record.

At the end of the 2020/21 season, Baltimore was named Young Player of the Season at the D1 Arkema End of Season Awards. She helped PSG win their first league title and was also one of those selected in the league’s Best XI that year.

At international level, Baltimore helped France win the 2019 European Under-19 Championship in Scotland. She has made 28 appearances for the French national team and has been called up to the squad for the next international matches.
