Emma Roberts comments on whether she will ever work with her aunt Julia Roberts

In a recent interview with Variety, Emma Roberts talked about her latest film projects and her experience working on the Nickelodeon teen sitcom Unfabulous. During her candid conversation with the outlet, Roberts shared her thoughts on working with legendary actress Julia Roberts. She was asked if people had suggested projects with her famous aunt early in her career, to which she replied that “that’s still the case.”

The “Aquamarine” actress explained that while she has often been suggested projects to do with her aunt, she would “love” to find the “perfect project” they could work on together. She added: “I know something will come out of it. But it was never the right thing.”

Roberts then gushed about the Notting Hills actress, saying she was the “best” and she wanted to do something with her. She noted that she and Julia Roberts send each other “books” and talk about “stuff” but it wasn’t right, expressing that the timing and projects might not have aligned.

The Space Cadet actress also revealed that she watches her legendary aunt’s films, noting that her movies are her “comfort movies” that she watches when she’s all alone. “I have movies of hers downloaded onto my computer that I watch for comfort,” adding, “My Best Friend’s Wedding and America’s Sweethearts are my feel-good movies,” Emma Roberts said.

Last month, Emma Roberts appeared on Table for Two with Bruce Bozzi on the iHeartPodcast, where she revealed what she learned about show business from her aunt Julia Roberts. For those who don’t know, Roberts is the daughter of the Pretty Woman actress’ older brother, Eric Roberts.

She said: “With my Aunt Julia, I saw up close what this (fame) really looks like,” adding: “It’s fun and it’s great, but there’s a part of it that’s really scary.”

The actress explained that she always wanted to follow her “own path” and that fame was never her main goal because “fame is kind of scary at a certain level.”
