REVENGE variant covers give a taste of Logan’s bloody mission in the new series starring Jonathan Hickman and Greg Capullo

Next month, Jonathan Hickman (Ultimate Spider-Man) and Greg Capullo (Batman) join forces for a brand new, prestigious limited series: Wolverine – Revenge of the Fallen. Coming just in time for the character’s 50th anniversary, it promises five issues of pure, unadulterated Wolverine action that is sure to go down as one of Logan’s defining stories.

If that is not enough, Wolverine – Revenge of the Fallen will also be available as a special “Red Band Edition.” According to Marvel Comics, this will be packaged in polybags “to protect innocent eyes” as it contains exclusive pages and exaggerated violence.

Now, ahead of the title’s release, you can check out a selection of covers from the debut issue, including works by Artgerm, Mark Brooks, Pablo Villalobos, Leinil Francis Yu, and many more.

The series is Capullo’s first interior design assignment since returning to Marvel last year. He will team up with Hickman to pit Wolverine against a cast of enemies that will turn his world upside down, including Sabretooth, Omega Red, Deadpool and more. He’s been beaten! He’s been beaten bloody! And Logan has only one thought on his mind: Revenge!

“I’m finally home to Marvel and ready to unleash hell. And who better to do it with than Hitman Hickman?” Capullo said of Wolverine – Revenge of the Fallen in a recent interview. “To celebrate, Marvel has removed the fences and let us off the leash so we can bring fans the most vicious, punishing Wolverine story possible this summer. I hope they’re prepared.”

“Of course it is a privilege to work with a legend like Greg,” added Hickman. “When we first talked about the project, our biggest concern was to give readers an exciting, hard-hitting Wolverine story that celebrates both the character and Greg’s return to Marvel.”

“And like he said, the bosses kicked us out and the result is an absolutely wild book. I honestly can’t wait for everyone to see it.”
