Mad Max fans draw the same conclusion about the “unrecognizable” Chris Hemsworth in the Furiosa trailer

Mad Max fans draw the same conclusions about an “unrecognizable” Chris Hemsworth after seeing the Furious Trailer.

On Thursday (November 30), the trailer for the prequel spin-off was released, which focuses on the younger version of Charlize Theron’s Mad Max: Fury Road character, was published online.

Directed by George Miller, Anya Taylor-Joy plays the role of Furiosa, and in March 2022, it was announced that Thor star Hemsworth would play the main villain named Dementus.

But when they saw him in action in the trailer, fans of the Mad Max series were sure they knew exactly who Hemsworth’s character would be: the young version of Immortan Joe.

Immortan Joe is the leader of a biker gang who appeared in the 2015 film Mad Max: Fury Roadplayed by Hugh Keays-Byrne.

The development that Hemsworth could play a young incarnation of Immortan Joe follows earlier claims that British actor Tom Burke would take on the role. But a look at Hemsworth in the trailer now has fans believing otherwise

“Holy shit, is Chris Hemsworth the young Immortan Joe?” wrote one viewer. Another added: “If you had told me in 2015 that the movie about Furiosa’s origin story would be a love story between her and the guy who would later become Immortan Joe, played by Chris Hemsworth…”

“Man, I need that Furious Movie like now!!! Chris Hemsworth as young Immortan Joe. Who would have thought,” said another viewer.

Whether Hemsworth will play Immortal Joe remains to be seen; fans will find out when the film hits theaters on May 24.

The release date coincides with the 2024 Cannes Film Festival, where Miller’s latest film premiered. Three thousand years of longing.

Furious is touted as Australia’s biggest production of all time.

In 2022, a book about Fury Roadwith the title Blood, Sweat and Chrome: The Wild and True Story of Mad Max: Fury Roadrevealed a heated argument between stars Tom Hardy and Theron that occurred after Hardy arrived on set three hours late.

Hardy confirmed the incident, which Theron said left her feeling insecure, telling author Kyle Buchanan, “Looking back, I was overwhelmed in many ways. The pressure on both of us was overwhelming at times.”
