Costco now sells this fast food chain’s famous ketchup

Busy Costco shoppers are always on the lookout for new products on the shelves. Much of this information sharing happens on social media, where accounts share roundups of the latest finds. One of the most recent roundups from @costcohotfinds on TikTok shared that a popular fast-food chain’s ketchup hit shelves in bottles. This Texas burger joint is famous for its ketchup – and you probably guessed it. Whataburger’s legendary Fancy Ketchup and Spicy Ketchup are now available at Costco.

In a ranking of 11 ketchup brands, Whataburger beats out brands like Heinz and Hunt’s to come out on top. It’s thick, tomatoey, sweet, and even has iconic packaging. Single-serving cups of Fancy Ketchup debuted in 1985, allowing Whataburger guests to take their ketchup on the go. Fast forward to 2012, when Whataburger released its now-famous Spicy Ketchup. Originally only available for a limited time, Spicy Ketchup was so popular that it was added to the permanent menu in 2013. That same year, Whataburger released bottles of its Fancy Ketchup, Spicy Ketchup, and Original Mustard in Texas HEB supermarkets—a first for the company. Costco is another expansion of its already extensive grocery store presence. Before hitting the wholesale retailer’s shelves, 15 Whataburger products – including individual bottles of the ketchup varieties – were distributed to 21 grocery stores in 2022, including Walmart and Albertsons.

Whataburger Ketchup is only available in some Costco stores

Although Whataburger ketchup is already available at some other grocery stores, its availability at Costco is very exciting for shoppers and Whataburger fans alike. According to @costcohotfinds, the ketchup bottles, which apparently come in three-packs of Fancy Ketchup and Spicy Ketchup varieties, will retail for $9.99. However, Whataburger’s official TikTok account made an important clarifying comment on the video that the ketchup is “available at all Costco stores in Texas.” This is a win for Texans, but time will tell if Whataburger expands its Costco reach with Whataburger and beyond to the remaining 13 states.

The general consensus is excitement about Whataburger’s debut at Costco. One commenter revealed, “I grabbed the Whataburger ketchups FAST!!” We would too.
