Isaac Hirsch took part in his third Jeopardy! game on Friday and told how his car made a major guest appearance on a hit sitcom
“Jeopardy!” champion Isaac Hirsch is only on his third game and has already called himself “famous.”
He entered Friday’s match with two-day total earnings of $47,986. Isaac faced off against Alex Wang, a rising senior at Duke University from Harrington Park, New Jersey, and Sarah Crocker, a writer and editor from Aurora, Colorado.
As is customary on Jeopardy!, host Ken Jennings chatted with the contestants after the first break. Isaac has told some funny stories in recent episodes – but Friday’s episode showed that he is no stranger to the television world.

“You’re a famous face on TV now, Isaac,” said Ken Jennings, “but I heard your car was famous before you.”
Isaac laughed before saying, “Absolutely. When you live in LA, some strange opportunities arise and my car was booked for an appearance on the sitcom Brooklyn Nine-Nine.”
He added: “I wasn’t booked to appear. I’m not in the sitcom at all, but you can see my car very clearly and people from my hometown have been messaging me saying, ‘We saw your car!’ So I’m basically famous.”
Ken asked, “Was your car any good in the game?” Isaac replied, “Yes, it looked suitably battered and old, which it is.”
The game then continued with Isaac leading by $5,800, Sarah trailing by $2,400, and Alex still nowhere to be found. When it came to Double Jeopardy, Isaac was still ahead by $7,000, Sarah had $3,000, and Alex had $400.
Then it was time for the finals, Isaac had a huge lead with $26,200, Sarah had $5,000 and Alex had $1,600. The clue to the finals was tricky because three of the four official languages of Aruba were tested.
Isaac and Sarah got only two, not enough for points, and Alex got all of them. Despite missing Final Jeopardy, Isaac won for $22,200 and now has a three-day total of $70,186.
During his first game, Isaac revealed that his father was on Jeopardy! in the 80s but didn’t win. It was also revealed that Isaac had previously competed on The Chase.
