Does “Love Is Blind” contestant Trevor deserve a spot on “Perfect Match”?

Love is blindNetflix’s dynamic reality series, has been making waves since its debut a few years ago. From explosive fights to hilarious moments to lovable couples, this show has given reality TV fans everything the genre has to offer, and it’s not done yet.

Season 6 of the series was particularly chaotic and one name has stuck in fans’ minds since its end: Trevor Sova.

The muscular brother was a fan favorite early on because Chelsea broke his heart. Over time, however, Trevor’s name was dragged through the mud, leading to him becoming one of the series’ biggest villains.

A shocking twist, but not as shocking as the fact that Netflix decided to give Trevor another chance to find the love of his life in front of the whole world.

The second season of Netflix’s reality series, Perfect match is just around the corner and Trevor Sova has been announced as part of the cast.

Before an official announcement, Sova’s ex took to social media to announce that he would be joining another Netflix reality series. Fans soon connected the dots and linked him to Perfect match.

“She also said that he will soon be starring in another popular Netflix dating show and the upcoming season is already highly anticipated,” Dexterto already reported in February.

Trevor’s cast, along with several others, were officially announced at the Season 6 reunion of Love is blindOther casting announcements included Jessica, the colleague from season 6, as well as notable Love is blind Names like Micah and Izzy.

Eventually a trailer made the rounds on the internet and Trevor finally got the chance to make his presence felt in an entirely new attempt to restore his now-shattered image.

“I’m here to redeem myself,” he said in the trailer.

Of course, fans have commented on Trevor’s continued fame on reality TV.

One fan felt that someone like Trevor would be great for the show from a production standpoint.

• “Why would they? People watch these types of reality shows for the drama. And honestly, he’s the perfect man to bring drama to the show. If anything, production is rubbing their hands in glee at all the drama surrounding him because they can turn it into hatewatchers,” they wrote.

Other fans believe he may be cut from the show after some disturbing allegations came to light.

From then on, he did indeed take on some responsibility, although perhaps not as much as some would like.

• “That being said, I admitted I was wrong. I admitted I wanted to talk to a real therapist instead of having my first conversation filmed in front of an audience. I’ve been seeing a therapist ever since and am slowly realizing what I need to do to improve,” Sova continued.

Speaking of filming, Trevor’s time on the show resulted in him being rejected by Chelsea despite playing the role of the nice, nice guy. Many fans were thrilled and the version he got was excellent.

However, after the allegations regarding the girlfriend, there was a huge change in public perception.

As a Reddit One user said: “When I see him playing the ‘nice guy’ in the pods and pretending to be nice to Chelsea, it makes me really sick because I know it’s all just a made up role he wanted to present to the audience. He really thought he would leave the show, no one would find out and he would become this popular influencer.”

The reunion made everything worse and he embarrassed himself on stage

Trevor came under fire at the reunion when the allegations surfaced on social media. To say he failed on camera would be a ridiculous understatement.

Sova was called out by the Lacheys and shown the receipts.

“I love you more than anything in the world. And I will marry you,” one message said.

“I hope you know how much I love you. And I had to pretend this wasn’t real life to say any of the things I said,” read another.

Trevor immediately froze before uttering a few words. As in his subsequent social media post, he maintained his innocence while attempting to take responsibility.

At one point the lights got too bright and Trevor was thrown off the stage after asking to leave.

“When they asked him if he wanted to further his career, he said ‘what career?’ and Mrs. Lachey agreed, ‘I really have no idea’… LMAO. That was a kiss from the chef, man 🤌, so unintentionally hilarious and snarky. This guy is an absolute clown show,” wrote one fan of the show about his time at the reunion.

Despite these consequences, Netflix gives him another chance at love and fame.
