Missed Q Connected? Now you can hear the songs we played on KLAQ

Every Sunday from 5-7pm, KLAQ plays 2 hours of local and regional rock from El Paso, Texas and the surrounding areas including Las Cruces, Juarez and the rest of Texas, New Mexico and Arizona. We know there is a lot of great local rock out there and that’s why we put on a show every week. To showcase what kind of homegrown talent is out there.

But we also know that people are busy. Sometimes you might miss an episode and a song or two that we play on air. Now we have a playlist of the songs we played on Q Connected!

What are the requirements to send music for playback on 95.5 KLAQ?

Before you start sending in your items, there are a few things you should know:

  • The songs MUST be rock. Or metal. Or alternative. As long as the song sounds rocky, we’ll allow it.
  • The songs MUST be clean, so swear words and foul language are allowed.
  • The songs can’t be longer than six minutes. Since the show only lasts two hours, we have to make sure the songs aren’t TOO long.
  • And of course the band must have been founded in El Paso, Las Cruces, Juarez or one of the following states: Texas, New Mexico, Arizona. It is also helpful if the band is active and also gives concerts.

How do I send my music to play on Q Connected?

It’s actually quite simple: just send the song as an MP3 or WAV file to my email address: [email protected].

After the song is played on the show, it will be added to the huge Q Connected Spotify playlist with (almost) all the songs we played on the show. You can check out the playlist (which is constantly growing) here.

Be sure to tune in to Q Connected, Sundays from 5-7pm on 95.5 KLAQ.
