“Innocent Man” Song Joong Ki says: “I was overjoyed when I heard the title of the drama”

Song Joong Ki talked about his first impression of the drama titled “Innocent Man.”

On September 5, a press conference for the KBS drama “Innocent Man” was held at the Inter Continental Hotel in Seoul.

Lead actors Song Joong Ki, Moon Chae Won, Park Si Yeon, Kim Tae Hoon, Lee Gwang Soo, Lee Sang Yeop, Lee Yu Bi, director Kim Jin Won and screenwriter Lee Kyung Hee were present to introduce the new drama and characters.

“Nice Guy” is a drama about a man who uses another woman to get revenge on his lover who cheated on him.

When asked about the negative views of some people who intentionally use misspellings in the (Korean) title, director Kim Jin Won said, “Some colleagues suggested changing the title, and we thought for a long time about why one would use incorrect spellings in a TV drama.”

He continued, “But the title fits the drama quite well. It conveys a message that encourages a moral life, and some people have a negative attitude just because of an intentional spelling mistake. Kang Maru (Song Joong Ki) is a nice guy, but at the same time, he’s not. He uses other girls’ love for his revenge. However, to make such a guy nice, we decided to use this contradictory adjective and spelling mistake for dramatic effect.”

Song Joong Ki said, “When I first heard the song, I was overjoyed. I heard that many people have a negative opinion about the song.”

He continued, “You will see how great the writer Lee Kyung Hee is, and I am very confident about the drama. I am not worried about any negative impact the title might have on the drama.”

On the other hand, “Innocent Man” will premiere on the 12th at 9:55 am as a sequel to “Gaksital”.
