Love Island Movie Night is making a comeback this weekend.

It has been confirmed that the iconic challenge will feature on Sunday’s (July 7) episode of the ITV2 dating show.

Voice-over artist Ian Stirling announced the juicy news at the end of Friday’s (July 5) episode, sending fans on social media into a frenzy as they couldn’t wait to catch a glimpse of the potential villa drama unfolding on screen.

One viewer on X, formerly known as Twitter, exclaimed, “Movie night is back oh my god I can’t wait for these lousy guys to get exposed.” Another excited fan predicted, “No matter what it is Nicole will 10,000% cry at movie night this Sunday.”

Movie Night shows how well the Islanders have held up in the tantalising atmosphere of Casa Amor and generally delivers the expected quality a few episodes later, reports the Daily Star. But in order to impress an impressive audience of 3.4 million, the makers have decided to bring this controversial segment into focus earlier than usual.

Recall in 2021, when the segment caused such a storm that Ofcom named it the most criticized TV moment of the year. Viewers couldn’t forget Faye Winter’s heated confrontation with Teddy Soares after she misunderstood a clip that sincerely showcased his loyalty.

In the last episode, voice-over commentator Iain took a savage swipe at Rishi Sunak after Labour won the election against the Conservatives and Rishi Sunak and his party suffered a devastating defeat in the election.

He said: “Everyone woke up thinking about last night. Important decisions were made. Hearts were broken and someone ended up crying in tears ‘Why?’ But enough about Rishi Sunak.”
