Taylor Swift’s surprising Amsterdam songs

On the second night in Amsterdam, Taylor Swift played a song from “The Tortured Poets Department” that had never been heard live before on the Eras Tour.

“The acoustic part is one of my favorite parts of any show because it’s different every night,” she said in her free-flowing blue dress. “For me, it’s a challenge to come up with brand new stuff and just try to make it different every single night.”

As she played a few chords of the new song, the audience in the Johan Cruijff Arena waited eagerly for “imgonnagetyouback”.

“You sing so loud,” Swift said before diving into “Dress” from “Reputation.” The crowd chanted, “Say my name and everything just stops.”

When Swift finished the guitar mashup, she sat down at her piano.

“I played that because it mentions bikes, and man, do you love bikes in Amsterdam,” she told the Amsterdam crowd about the song “Tortured Poets.” “It’s a beautiful thing, you just see a bike rack with 3,000 bikes on it. That’s one of the coolest things about this place, apart from you guys of course.”

She then mixed “You Are in Love” from “1989 (Taylor’s Version)” with “Cowboy Like Me” from “Folkore.” Swift has one more Eras Tour show in the Dutch capital before heading to Zurich, Switzerland.

Earlier, during her ten-minute performance of “All Too Well,” Swift asked stadium staff three times to help fans.

As she closed out her “Red” era, Swift sang, “I wanna be my old self again, but I’m still trying to find it.” Her gaze was fixed on the floor area on the right side of the stage (audience perspective). She continued singing her next two lines before pausing and saying, “They need some help over there where they’re shining their lights.”
