A travel author’s book signing will take place on Saturday at the BCM Museum

BRISTOL, Virginia – Author Daniel Seddiqui will celebrate the release of his new book, “Jammin’ Through the South: Kentucky, Virginia, Tennessee, Mississippi, Louisiana, Texas,” here Saturday.

The author of “Living the Map” will be signing copies of his new book in the atrium of the BCM Museum on July 6 from 1 to 3 p.m. Attendance is free and copies of the book will be available for sale at the museum on Saturday.

Jammin’ Through the South explores the rich musical heritage of the American South, where genres such as blues, bluegrass, country, rock and roll and gospel have deep roots. The region has been a breeding ground for some of the world’s most famous musicians, including Dolly Parton, Loretta Lynn, Elvis Presley and BB King.

In this comprehensive travel book, Seddiqui takes readers on an unforgettable journey through music and culture. The book features a curated itinerary with stops at iconic locations such as Bristol, Lexington, the valleys of Eastern Kentucky, Pigeon Forge, Nashville, Memphis, the Mississippi Delta, New Orleans, and Austin. It also offers interactive, hands-on learning opportunities, from line dancing classes to hand-crafting musical instruments, interviews with renowned makers and musicians, and details on accommodations and must-see attractions.
