Jason Statham’s hit 2024 action film is finally streaming on your favorite site

Every month there is a lot of activity on the streaming platforms and this month is no exception. Jason Statham’s latest action-packed thriller, The Beekeeperhas been a box office success in 2024 and is now sweetening Prime Video’s cinema offering. After a busy 2023 in which Statham starred in major Hollywood blockbusters such as Expend4bles, Fast XAnd Meg 2: The Trenchwhich grossed a total of around 1.13 billion dollars worldwide, The Beekeeper Following its release on January 12, the film quickly grossed over $75 million worldwide, eventually reaching a total of $152.7 million.

With a running time of 1 hour and 45 minutes and an explicit R rating, The Beekeeper exceeded the opening weekend totals of Statham’s 2021 Heist film Wrath of man. The Beekeeper grossed about $16.6 million on its opening weekend, almost doubling Wrath of man$8.3 million. Its Rotten Tomatoes score has already broken a nearly two-decade-old Statham record, suggesting the potential for future sequels and possibly the start of a new Statham-led franchise.

What is “The Beekeeper” about?

The Beekeeper In “The Beekeepers,” Statham plays Adam Clay, a secret agent in a secret group called “The Beekeepers.” Driven by a personal tragedy, Clay embarks on a relentless quest for revenge against those responsible for a devastating incident that affected someone close to him. The plot and action sequences in The Beekeeper remember the John Wick series that is also driven by a quest for revenge. It’s almost as if Statham is creating his own honeycomb of action-packed films, inspired by the hugely successful Keanu Reeves Franchise.

Statham is also accompanied by a colorful and versatile supporting cast, such as Josh Hutcherson stands out as an antagonist and brings his own fan base with him The hunger Games and the successful Five Nights at Freddy’s (2023). Legendary actor Jeremy Ironsknown for his roles in Guardian, Justice LeagueAnd The Lion Kingprovides even more star power. Although the future of Statham’s beekeeper Franchise remains uncertain, the 57-year-old action star has many other projects in the pipeline. His most notable confirmed role is in the 2025 action thriller Levon’s Tradewhere he met his Consumables Co-Star, Sylvester Stallone. Leaded by David Ayer Written by Stallone, the film stars Statham as a former black ops agent who is forced out of retirement when someone close to him disappears.
