Dead Rising tops the Xbox sales charts following the announcement of a deluxe remaster, with several titles in the series heavily discounted.

Big announcements and discounts for Dead Rising fans

Earlier this week, Capcom announced that Dead Rising is getting a Deluxe Remaster, an exciting update to the fan-favorite zombie game.

According to PureXbox, the announcement was accompanied by major discounts on several games in the Dead Rising series. These discounts have caused several titles to climb up the charts, most notably Dead Rising 3: Apocalypse Edition and Dead Rising 4.

Dead Rising 2 and Dead Rising 2: Off The Record are available now for £3.99 in the UK and $4.99 in the US, a whopping 75% discount.

Dead Rising 3: Apocalypse Edition costs £7.99 in the UK and $5.99 in the US, which is an 80% discount.

Dead Rising 4 is available for £5.09 in the UK and $5.99 in the US, an impressive 85% discount.

While the original Dead Rising isn’t included in these big discounts, it’s still available for a reasonable £8.99 in the UK and $9.99 in the US, and for those who previously claimed it as part of Xbox Games With Gold, it may even be available for free.

Upcoming Deluxe Remaster

The highly anticipated Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster is set to release in September and is already available to pre-order for £39.99 in the UK and $49.99 in the US.

The remaster aims to modernize the original game, offering improved graphics and additional content to appeal to both new and returning players.

ComicBook reports that the Digital Deluxe version includes 17 costumes for protagonist Frank West, many of which are inspired by characters from other Capcom games.

These costumes were initially partially hidden, but were quickly discovered by fans on the Dead Rising subreddit, who posted screenshots revealing characters such as Leon S. Kennedy from Resident Evil, Mega Man, and Ken from Street Fighter.

Further pre-order benefits

Pre-ordering any edition of the game will include three additional skins, including the classic Frank West costume from 2006, a Chuck Greene costume from Dead Rising 2, and the Willamette Parkview Mall Bee. This addition will likely appeal to longtime fans and collectors.

About Dead Rising

Official game description:

Dead Rising was originally released for the Xbox 360 on August 8, 2006. It quickly became a critical and box office success, leading to its inclusion in the Xbox 360’s “Platinum Hits” series and spawned three sequels: Dead Rising 2 in September 2010, Dead Rising 3 in November 2013, and Dead Rising 4 in December 2016.
