Chris Broussard remains calm despite Dak Prescott’s walking shoe: I think he’s fine

Daniel Prescott certainly made headlines when he was spotted wearing a walking boot in Mexico, sparking heated debate among sports analysts about whether it would hurt his chances of a big payday.

Prescott has been wearing the boot for about a week, but reassured everyone by saying he was “doing great” and explained that his ankle was swelling after deep-sea diving.

However, he has not secured a contract extension and it does not look like this will be the case in the near future. Chris Broussard from First Things First shared his thoughts on PrescottSituation with the Dallas Cowboysand gives his opinion on what lies ahead for the quarterback.

“I think it’s nothing,” said Broussard“First of all, I don’t know if he will be paid before the season. So I don’t think the Cowboys say, “We’re giving Dak that $60 (million) a year.”

“I don’t think that happened. I think he’s OK. I’d like to know how he did it. I guess he was training, but I’d like to know how he did it. But look, we saw him come back from a bad injury and they paid him. So yeah, that’s a very small thing.”

Uncertain future

In the 2020 season, he suffered a serious ankle injury in a game against the Giants that kept him out of action for the entire season. In March 2021 Prescott received a four-year, $160 million contract despite playing only five games with a franchise tag in 2020.

This year, there is even more at stake. It is not just Prescottlast year at the Cowboysbut also CeeDee Lamb is in the final year of his contract and is seeking a significant salary increase, targeting $35 million per year.

The future is uncertain for both Prescott And lamb because they are entering the season without contract extensions.
